Our Mission

Wildlife Cyber Investigations teaches game wardens, conservation officer’s and other natural resource law enforcement officer's in various open source intelligence (OSINT) and social media intelligence (SOCMINT) techniques. While various companies offer this training to general police and law enforcement, the investigations of wildlife crimes often require different investigative techniques. Using over 15 years worth of knowledge on cyber security, networking, computer analytics and natural resource law enforcement we bring wildlife investigations into the 21st century.

Our Courses

All our courses are presented in an online video format. The courses provide real-life scenarios and legal precedents for social media investigations. The online format allows users to complete the courses at their own pace wherever they want. This eliminates travel and per-diem expenses for departments. Each course will take approximately 8 hours to complete. These courses are *exclusively* for law enforcement only and a valid government email address is required to sign up for the courses. While the classes are geared towards conservation law enforcement, any type of law enforcement is welcome to take the class.

1. Basic OSINT Investigations

This class will teach you the basics behind open source intelligence (OSINT) and social media intelligence (SOCMINT) investigations. We start from the basics of how the internet works and build a solid foundation to conduct basic online investigations of wildlife crimes.

2. Advanced OSINT Investigations
(Coming Late 2023)

The advanced class takes the lessons learned in the basic class and builds upon them to conduct more advanced investigations. We talk about creating virtual machines (VM), virtual private servers (VPS), setting up cellphones and using Github python programs to dig deep into social media platforms.
